Inspired by faraway galaxies, mystical creatures and parallel universes, Hannan Jewellery is a whimsical ode to craftsmanship that dates back centuries.

From resin charms handcrafted in a small factory in Uttar Pradesh to amorphous shaped stones ethically sourced from Jaipur and and pearls from south of India to metalwork carried out in old Delhi. Their treasures are a fusion of seemingly competing handicraft havens, meticulously put together entirely by hand over the course of 2-3 weeks to create fanciful treasures that effortlessly transcend from everyday staples to evening-wear statements.

Bhaavya and Rishi’s (co-founders & designers behind Hannan) design process is entirely fluid. While indigenous materials and craftsmanship are an important element of the process, they draw inspiration from everywhere. Fleeting moments. The in-between. And the larger-than-life. At times it’s the material that dictates the entire design. Other times, they are drawn to the idea of “giving permanence to fleeting moments that move them.”

Designed with sustainability and longevity in mind, Hannan is nothing if not a celebration of Indian handicraft. From the serendipitous stumble on resin heart charms that inspired the entire line. To the brand being named after their chief embroider (who until then, like most craftsmen, has remained largely nameless). In the words of Rishi, “the brand name” (and we would add, the entire brand) “represents our ode to our craftsmen, a love song for our heritage.”
